KCCA Leopards will be seeking for a fourth win of the season when they take on UCU Lady Canons in what promises to be a pulsating affair in the Women’s National Basketball League at Abja Park Naalya.
The Leopards, coached by Blazers star Tonny Drilleba, have beaten defending champions JKL Lady Dolphins, newcomers Pearl Queens and Victoria She Crocs.
Their only defeat came against JT Lady Jaguars, last year’s finalists, registered just 28 points in a 47-28 defeat in what was a low scoring game.
In that defeat, KCCA scored just 5 points in the first quarter, 6 and 7 in the second and third respectively in defeat!
Ninete Uwineza and Susan Rebecca Aanyu could only manage 7 points each, in defeat.
The Leopards will be banking on Tracy Namugosa who is averaging 24 points this season, and will be facing her former side.
UCU Lady Canons on the other hand, have won their two games so far against Magic Stormers 55-48 and Angels 73-29, and since then, the side has almost had a two-week break.
Martrina Anyango had a double double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, and Coach Nicholas Natuhereza will be hoping for another monstrous outing for his Centre.
New point guard Mariam Namukwaya and Shila Lamunu are the other players to look out for.
