Newly promoted Women’s Super League club Crystal Palace have signed Tottenham defender Molly Bartrip for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old joins on a three-year deal and reunites with ex-Spurs captain Bethany England as one of Palace’s summer arrivals.

Bartrip spent five years at Tottenham, making over 100 appearances, and was named vice-captain in 2023.

She played in every game during the 2024–25 season and signed a three-year contract extension off the back of it.

The defender, who represented England’s youth teams, was also part of the Tottenham squad who reached the Women’s FA Cup final for the first time in 2024.

It has been a strong window so far for Palace, who achieved promotion back up to the WSL with their second-placed finish in the second tier last season.

Bartrip and England bring a wealth of WSL experience, while they have also signed last season’s WSL 2 top scorer Lexi Lloyd-Smith.
