URA FC coach Hussein Mbalangu hopes to make winning a habit after picking his first win at the club in the League.

The Tax Collectors beat Mbarara City 2-0 at Nakivubo thanks to goals from Ronald Otti and Moses Waiswa.

Otti rose highest to head in from Dissan Galiwango’s corner before Waiswa converted from the spot after Fred Amaku was brought down in the box.

“We needed a win, we had prepared very well, and I am happy the boys managed to execute the instructions,” said a happy Mbalangu at fulltime.

Mbalangu started all the four new signings – Galiwango, Waiswa, Rahmat Ssenfuka and Derrick Kakooza.

He added: “The new signings have added renewed energy in the team and we now look much better. They have added confidence, Creativity and maturity in the team.

“If they have shown such in the opening game, we expect more.”

The Tax Collectors had gone nine games without a win in the league, seven under Mbalangu who joined the team later in December after the side parted ways with Alex Isabirye.

The former NEC FC coach added: “Pressure has been lifted at least, and this comes with confidence. We hope to make winning a habit.”

The Tax Collectors move to 18 points after as many games, and sit just six points above the relegation zone.

URA FC will return to league action on March 7 as they visit Abdallah Mubiru’s Entebbe UPPC.
