SC Villa has fixed March 22 as the date for its long-awaited presidential elections, ending months of uncertainty following the postponement of the original November 2025 schedule.
The decision was reached during a General Meeting of registered members under the Villa Members Trust, held Sunday at Former East High School Kulambiro.
Board of Trustees chairman Gerald Ssendaula confirmed the election date and announced that aspiring candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable nomination fee of 100 million Ugandan shillings.
According to the approved roadmap, the club will display the list of fully paid-up members until March 6, while the Electoral Committee is expected to be appointed by Monday.
Interested candidates will pick nomination forms between March 3 and 4, and return them on March 7.
The Board of Trustees will conduct vetting of candidates on March 8 and 9, with any electoral complaints scheduled to be addressed on March 10.
Incumbent president Omar Ahmed Mandela has confirmed his intention to seek re-election. He called on supporters to remain patient as the club continues what he described as a rebuilding process.
