“I have always carried myself with professionalism throughout my career, representing every club with respect and discipline. In all my years in football, I have never been involved in any case of indiscipline because I understand the responsibility that comes with being a professional player,” he said.

Addressing supporters, the Uganda Cranes skipper added: “To my beloved fans who have always stood by me, this situation will come to pass. Thank you for your continued support.”

In a separate decision, the club also suspended goalkeeper Amas Obasogie for three months to allow investigations into allegations of match-fixing.

Aucho who joined Singida in August last year, after leaving Young Africans where he won four Tanzanian Premier League titles.
