NEC FC returned to winning ways with a 4-1 comeback win over URA FC on Tuesday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The Diehards came into this contest after dropping points in a frustrating draw against Mbarara City last week.
Isma Mugulusi gave the visitors an early lead before the home side replied with three goals before the break.
Richard Basangwa, Enock Ssebagala and James Jarieko were all on target in the first half as Badru Kaddu’s men looked on course for maximum points.
Basangwa added one more in the second half as the hosts prevailed.
Jarieko got the equalizer in the 14th minute after being fed by Emmanuel Ajo.
Basangwa made it 2-1 in the 42nd minute off Ssebagala’s assist before the youngster scored the third just before the break.
Four minutes after the restart, Basangwa completed his brace as well as sealing the points.
NEC are second on the league log with ten points from four games, same as SC Villa who thrashed Kigezi Homeboyz 3-0 at Wankulukuku.
URA are in tenth position with three points after suffering a second defeat in three games.
URA will host KCCA FC after the international break on 9th October, while NEC will entertain Express FC a day earlier.
