The organizers of the monthly Real Stars Sports awards have confirmed the winners for the month of August 2026 at the brief ceremony held at Naijing Restaurant in Kololo.
Agnes Nabukenya, Martina Anyango and Nyembo Fataki Franck were rewarded for their excellence during the awarding ceremony on Tuesday.
Nyembo helped NamBlazers retain the National Basketball title last month following their triumph over City Oilers in Hoima. He beat Tonny Drileba and Patrick Rembert to the gong.
The DR Congo basketball player was also named as the 2026 Most Valuable Player of the Uganda National Basketball league.
Agnes Nabukenya the Most Valuable Player at the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers walked away with the football accolade for the month of August. She scored four goals in four matches as Kawempe triumphed in Rwanda last month.

Nabukenya netted the all-important goal in extra time of a tense final of the CECAFA Zonal Qualifier against Kenya’s Police Bullets to secure a historic victory that will see the Ugandan record champions play in the CAF Women’s Champions League. She beat KCCA FC’s Saidi Mayanja and NEC FC’s Richard Basangwa to the Fortebet Real stars award.
Meanwhile, her coach Ayub Khalifah Kiyingi was rewarded with the lifetime achievement award for his tremendous contribution to women football during his 25 years in the game.

Anyango was also rewarded for her outstanding performance for UCU Lady Canons during the same month. She beat Brenda Kayaga and Zoe Atek to the Basketball women accolade.

The winners receive cash prizes and winners accolades courtesy of main sponsors Fortebet and Jude color solutions.
