Lugazi FC have completed the signing of former Vipers right back Emmanuel Munoobi, Swift Sports understands.

Munoobi has joined Lugazi as the club’s latest signing on a two year employment contract.

A move to Lugazi is a mission to redemption for the budding right back after a lengthy battle with injury that has kept him on the sidelines.

Munoobi rose to the scene with Vipers as a graduate from the St. Mary’s Kitende school team in 2021 under coach Robertinho.

He had a delightful Uganda Premier League debut as he scored one of the goals as Vipers thumped UPDF FC 7-2 at Kitende.

Born in Buikwe, Munoobi previously played for the Aka Soccer Academy and Buikwe Red Stars before joining Vipers.

He played for Kakungulu Memorial School, St. Julian High School Gayaza, Risah High School Lugazi and St. Mary’s Kitende in the Schools Football championships.

Munoobi joins a list of new recruits at Lugazi that already has Tonny Kyamera, Louis Anguti Amagu, Jamaldin Buchochera, Christopher Birungi and Frank Mulimi who have already been unveiled.

The club has also awarded captain Richard Ayiko and long serving player Moses Buga new contracts.

Lugazi will be under the tutelage of coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko with Bashir “Bastu” Ssemuyaba as his immediate assistant.
