Namuwongo Blazers eased past UMU Flames thanks to a 92-61 victory in the National Basketball League match on Wednesday night at Abja Park in Naalya.
The Blazers quickly got of the blocks and were 22-14 up after the first quarter, and lead they never relinquished.
Peter Obleng led scorers with 21 points, Nyembo Fataki added 16 while Innocent Ochera and Moses Mugisha scored 15 and 14 respectively in the win.
Agot Agot and Gatwech Koang managed 13 and 12 points respectively but the effort proved not enough as UMU Flames suffered their fifth defeat of the season.
The Blazers edged the rebounding battle 52-41 in a match they collected 53 points off the bench.
It’s their second win of the season having beaten UCU Canons earlier after suffering a defeat to City Oilers in the opener.
Elsewhere, Sommet handed Rezlife Saints their first defeat of the season, winning 83-73 at Lugogo while UPDF Tomahawks edged JT Jaguars 75-74 at Kiira
